GET READY AS THE WORCESTER COMMON OVAL ICE-SKATING RINK IS SET TO REOPEN FOR PUBLIC SKATING ON FRI. DEC. 2, 2022!

 

If you’ve been “Dreaming about Skating in a Winter Wonderland”, then get ready as the Worcester Common Oval Ice-Skating Rink is set to re-open for the 2022-2023 season!

The Grand Re-Opening will take place during the City of Worcester’s Festival of Lights Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting on Friday, December 2. Keep an eye on this page and the Worcester Common Oval Ice-Skating Rink’s social media pages (Instagram and Facebook) for a schedule of activities planned for the Festival of Lights.

The 12,000-square-foot rink, which is 4,000 square feet larger than the size of the Rink at Rockefeller Center, is located behind Worcester City Hall, at 455 Main Street. Programming for the season is underway and will include a number of activities for attendees of all ages! 

Hours of Operation: Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Worcester Common Oval Ice-Skating Rink will also be open for extended hours during school vacation weeks in December and February, as well as on New Year’s Day and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. 

Pricing: Admission for skating is $5.00 and free for children ages 5 and younger. Skate rentals and Little Helpers (learn to skate assist devices) will also be available for $5.00.

A limited number of free parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis in the garage located beneath City Hall.
