The "Together in Joy" art murals at the DCU Center are a vibrant community project that invites guests to engage with the art by taking photos in front of the murals while at events. The murals located on the east and west concourses of the arena span over 30 feet wide and 10 feet tall and were commissioned by DCU and ASM Global to bring color and life to the space, while celebrating the diversity of the events and audiences the arena hosts.

The murals were created by Worcester artist Sharinna Travieso, who is known for her impactful public art designed to inspire and educate. Assisting Sharinna to bring life to the DCU Center walls were co-artists Khalil Guzman-Jerry and Britney Colome.

The initiative was a true community effort, with local youth from the Worcester-based non-profit organization C.H.E.E.R.S. also lending their painting skills to the project. Led by Echo Louissaint, C.H.E.E.R.S. empowers youth through mentorship, community service, and mutual aid projects. They address food insecurity, promote health and wellness, and create pathways for personal and career growth by exposing youth to opportunities.

The project was made possible with support from NAL’S Paint Center, a family-owned business in Worcester, which generously donated all the paint used. Their long-standing commitment to supporting the community through charitable contributions and volunteer efforts further strengthens the local bond and impact of the project.
