In honor of Father's Day, we are introducing two of our DCU Center dads, Tom MacMaster and Jim Moughan!
In addition to working as the DCU Center Food & Beverage Manager/Banquets, Tom loves to coach street hockey. He has coached all three of his children over the past 12 years! He is in his third year as the president of the Fitchburg Street Hockey League.
"I dedicate a lot of my time to FSHL, and I know it has given my kids a firsthand look of volunteerism, coaching, and seeing what it takes in any volunteer program," Tom said. "Both my boys have even helped build our third rink, something they can look back on years from now and see the joy others will get from their hard work."
"I always crack the lame dad jokes because I know they’re laughing on the inside even though they won’t admit it," said Tom. "Like in church when you offer peace, I would always make my youngest think we’re saying “Pizza be with you,” not “Peace be with you."
You might recognize our next dad from Back in the Day with Jim. Our Assistant General Manager/Director of Sales loves to spend time with his family at camp, Cape Cod, and vacationing around the holidays. He also enjoys "Saturday morning Dunkin' Donuts" (we love the sound of that)!
His proudest moments are when he sees his kids mature and attain the goals they are going after.
Father's Day is time to celebrate our dads and how much we appreciate everything they do, from the silly jokes to walking us down the aisle. Here are some of the DCU Center staff's favorite photos with dad! We would love to see your pics, too. Share them with us on Twitter or Instagram using #DCUCenter!
