Securing the Dream: Power, Progress, Prosperity
This year’s Statewide Latino Public Policy Conference “Securing the Dream: Power, Progress, Prosperity” concludes the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the Mauricio Gastón Institute for Latino Community Development and Public Policy. This historical milestone has allowed the Institute staff to engage many local leaders, policy makers and practitioners in regional meetings across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to reflect on the current status of the Latinos. It is from these conversations that the themes of this conference have emerged. Securing the Dream: Power, Progress, and Prosperity. The 2010 conference will bring together participants from of all the regions of the Commonwealth to address public policies and organizational practices affecting Latinos at the local and state level. They will be joined by experts on local, state and national policies. Panelists and other speakers will include a combination of researchers, policy makers, practitioners and community leaders to share their expertise with the audience, and to exchange the most up-to-date information on Latinos in Massachusetts.
